Which Horseshoe Bend tour fits your trip
You can visit the Horseshoe Bend overlook on your own. A tour adds transport, a guide or a second stop, usually Antelope Canyon. The canyon is the part that cannot be done alone: every Antelope Canyon visit on Navajo land is guided.
Tours start from two places. From Page, a half-day trip can combine a slot canyon with the overlook. From Las Vegas, the distance is large, so the examples are multi-day combinations. The prices below are single operator examples for 2026, not a full price range.

Our picks: tours from Page and Las Vegas
From Las Vegas the coach day is the way to see the canyon and the bend in one go. From Page, the hotel pickup trip covers the canyon, the bend and the dam, and the raft trip is the pick if you want to be on the river.

Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend tour
The combination most visitors search for.
| Starting point | What is included in the example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Page | A guided visit to Secret Antelope Canyon plus a visit to the Horseshoe Bend viewpoint | The operator is on the Navajo list. Secret Antelope is not automatically Upper or Lower. |
| Las Vegas | Two-day Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend combination, Page lodging included | Wednesday departures April to October, minimum age 5, private groups from 6. The Antelope Canyon tour is an optional extra. |
For most visitors staying in Page, a canyon tour plus a self-guided stop at the overlook is the simpler plan. From Las Vegas, the two-day format avoids a very long day on the road. A combined tour does not automatically include every canyon fee, so read the list of what is included.
Antelope Canyon tour prices in 2026
Adult examples. Each row is one operator's product, and prices are not final checkout prices.
| Canyon | Example price | Length | Check-in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upper Antelope Canyon | $100 ($85 tour plus $15 permit), $120 for the 11:40 a.m. premium slot, before taxes and fees | About 90 minutes with transfer | 30 minutes before |
| Upper, another company | From $92 | Varies | Varies |
| Lower Antelope Canyon | From $80.50, taxes and fees included at some companies, children 0 to 3 free at one | 60 to 90 minutes | 45 minutes before |
| Antelope Canyon X | Hiking tour $47 adult, $37 ages 0 to 17, plus $15 hiking permit from age 8 | 1.5 hours | 30 minutes before |
| Canyon X photo tour | From $142 | 3 hours, from age 8 | Varies |
Canyon X therefore costs at least $62 for an adult and $52 for ages 8 to 17, before any booking costs. Which canyon suits you is covered in Upper vs Lower Antelope Canyon. For most first-time visitors, a standard Upper or Lower walk is the straightforward choice, and Canyon X suits those who prefer a hiking format of about 1.5 hours.
Boat and kayak tours near Page
Different products from the canyon walks.
Antelope Canyon boat tour
A marina on the lake offers a 1-hour boat trip from $50 for adults and $30 for children aged 4 to 12, with check-in 45 minutes before. A separate $30 entry charge applies. This is a trip on the water, not a walk through the Upper or Lower slot. Boat tours from the Wahweap marina to Antelope Canyon and Rainbow Bridge are unavailable until further notice. See Lake Powell.
Kayak from Lees Ferry
One operator charges $80 per person for the backhaul for a boat under 50 lb, with kayak rental from $40, taxes and booking fee extra. You paddle back down toward Lees Ferry. Details and permits are on the kayak page.
Rainbow Bridge
There is no regular boat tour at the moment. Read the Rainbow Bridge access guide before you plan around it.
What to check before you book
The wording matters more than the headline price.
Same canyon, same start, same extras
Compare prices only for the same canyon, start point, transfer, permit, room occupancy and cancellation terms. A cheaper offer may leave out the permit.
Time zones
Page and Arizona stay on Arizona time (UTC-7) all year. The Navajo Nation changes its clocks for daylight saving time, yet some Antelope Canyon operators use Phoenix time anyway. Follow the time on your own booking confirmation, and check your phone, because it can switch automatically while you drive through the reservation.
Photography and bags
Rules differ by operator. One Upper company allows cameras but no tripods, monopods or selfie sticks, and it asks for transparent bags. One Lower company allows no bags at all, not even transparent ones, and no action cameras or drones.
Weather
Slot canyons can flood, and operators cancel when weather requires it. A full refund is usual when the company cancels for extreme weather. A change of mind because of clouds is not treated the same way.
Walk-ins and reservations
Some operators recommend a reservation but allow walk-ins outside sold-out times. Do not assume you can arrive and join, especially in busy months.

Horseshoe Bend tours: frequently asked questions
Do I need a tour to see Horseshoe Bend?
No. The overlook is open to visitors on their own, with city parking at $10 per car in 2026. A tour adds a guide, transport or another stop.
Is a guide required at Antelope Canyon?
Yes. Antelope Canyon visits on Navajo land are guided. The permit is $15 per person, and the guide fee is on top of it.
Can I do Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon in one day?
From Page, yes. Several tours combine them. Add the overlook walk of about 20 minutes each way if you go on your own.
Is there a day tour from Las Vegas?
The examples here are two-day combinations. Page is about 289 miles from Las Vegas, so a day trip is a long one. See getting there.
Are kids charged the same?
It varies. One Upper operator charges the same for adults, children and infants, one Lower operator makes children 0 to 3 free, and Canyon X has lower child prices.
Is this an official tour site?
No. This is an independent travel guide. It is not the official website of the National Park Service, the City of Page or the Navajo Nation, and not connected to any tour operator.
